All students are expected to speak in English while in school.
All students should be careful not to litter the school campus.
They should use the waste baskets and litter bins.
Personal cleanliness and hygiene are expected from all.
All students must come in proper school uniform. Jewellery, with the exception of plain
earrings / studs not permitted.
Students are expected to be orderly and respectful both in class and in public.
Rude, disorderly or other objectionable conduct in school is unacceptable.
All students are expected to maintain exemplary behaviour in the classroom, during
change of periods and while moving between classes for activities.
Students should care for school property. Students must not disfigure walls or woodwork.
The cost of repair for deliberate damage to school property will be recovered from
the students concerned.
The Principal reserves the right to rusticate a student whose conduct/behaviour is
found harmful to others.
The school reserves the right to suspend or take appropriate disciplinary action against
students who are lacking in diligence or whose progress in studies
is constantly unsatisfactory.
No books other than text or library books, may be brought to school.
The school is not responsible for any books, money or articles that are lost by a student.
The students must look after their own things.It is not advisable for pupils
to have money or valuable articles with them.
The possession of knives, air guns, fireworks, or other offensive items are forbidden.
All students are expected to be punctual and regular at school.
For leave of absence up to two days, it is sufficient to apply to the class teacher in the
diary. For leave of absence of more than two days, a letter of permission is necessary
from the Principal.
Absence from school for more than ten consecutive days without leave or unexplained
absence renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the roll.
Re-admission, if granted, will be done on payment of admission fee.
Normally a child must complete an attendance of at least 90% of the working days in
the school year to be eligible for promotion.
No student should leave the school premises during school hours without the permission
of the Class Teacher and Principal.
In case students need to go out during class hours, the student must get an exeat form
signed by the class teacher first and then the Principal.
In case anyone other than the parent comes to take the child, the person must have
an ‘authority’ letter from the parent.
A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease
should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him/her to rejoin class.
No collection of money or articles for any purpose may be done in the school without
the permission of the Principal.
Celebrations of birthdays are restricted to distribution of sweets and chocolates only.
Students must never offer gifts to their teachers.
Parents are requested to sign the school diary everyday.
Parents must submit a copy of the new KIMS of Parent and Child after every renewal.
Parents are requested to notify the school in writing of any change in their address or
phone number.
Parents are not allowed to visit their wards or the teachers in the classrooms during
school hours.
The teacher-parent communication may be done through the diary.
Parents can meet the teachers in the school with the Principal’s permission and by
prior appointment.
No retest will be allowed for tests/examinations/oral examinations that may be missed.
Answer scripts of the Annual Promotion examination will not be shown to the parents.
Field trips and Night-outs are mandatory for each class.
Vandalism is unacceptable and parents will be notified immediately.
Assemblies are an important feature at RGS. It is a time to come together to share school
communication, share ideas, receive awards and to be entertained by fellow students.
All pupils are requested to make maximmum use of such opportunities.
At RGS, we encourage healthy eating and ask that you do not send sweets and
fizzy drinks to school in your child’s lunch box.
Messages for students may be left with the Secretary who will endeavour to deliver
them as soon as possible. Kindly avoid sending maids and drivers to classrooms;
this is most unacceptable.
The school phone may be used in cases of emergency only. Permission is needed from
the office manager before the phone is used.
